THE VIEW AKSEW FILMS

Kevin Smith has made 4 films including View Askew 4: Dogma, which I reviewed earlier. Many people who see Dogma should then go back and see Smith's earlier films. Each one is totally original and absolutely hilarious. Smith is one of the greatest film makers of the modern era. Each one centers around a small urban area in New Jersey, and around Jay and Silent Bob. Here is a quick review of each one:

View Askew I- Clerks: A very strange day in the life of two no-where store clerks, one from a convenience store, one from a video store. When one of them has a crisis tearing him between two women, can his freind straighten him out? ***1/2 stars out of 5. View Askew III- Chasing Amy: When a semi-famous comic book writer falls in love with a lesbian, can his best friend and partner straighten him out before heartbreak ensues? I have to note that this one was great up to the ending, which I really didn't like. *** stars out of 5.
