This song is a testament to King as a modern blues master. It rivals, almost exceeds, the power of the original. His rendition of the words, coupled with a dual guitar sound that is both pure blues with moments reminiscent of Hendrix or Peter Frampton, delivers a sound that is unmatched. Robert Johnson would be proud.

This song is very reminiscent of Clapton's style and I included it to represent King's mastery of the classic rock sound, which I think is essential to anyone looking to influence the field.

Maynard, the genius behind TOOL, recently revealed his newest project, "A Perfect Circle". This group has only a mildly industrial/hard sound, with much stronger Alternative influence. Maynard's often odd and always interesting subject matter is still present, however. This is indicitive of this new band's sound.

Seems every thing Maynard touches turns to gold. While Amos' contribution to this song is heavier than Maynard's, His ability to work with someone whose sound is so different than his own proves his skill as a performer.

Shadowfax may represent a new generation of alternative/industrial-like sound born mostly of groups like Creed and A Perfect Circle which beautifully toes the line between the two. One also gets a spiritual feeling from Shadowfax's sound, another gift from Creed. This type of sound may be the future of the Alternative Rock movement.
